When i push the rear of the car down....it stays down. When i pull it up, it stays up. My shocks i know must be bad. My question is... is the spring bad also?. The camber of the spring is "not much". It almost looks like the spring should be cambered more. I dont have any weight in the trunk. Im looking for the winter project.
Can anyone with a 35 measure the camber of the spring to give me an idea of what i should have.
My other question.....is there someone in the barn that rebuilds shocks.....or is there another alternative.
I was thinking of leaving the original shocks and mounting a pare of modern ones next to them by "clamping"...thus not drilling/welding to the original frame or rear axle.
Last year i swapped the 35 rear for a 37 rear. I kept the same spring. Everything measured correctly for the swap except i had to use the 37 radius rods and swap the torque tube. (only because the 37 torque tube was well rusted.) The 35 rad rods were attached 6" in from the backing plates (where the 37 rear radius rods actually bolt to the backing plates.). Anyway. Wondering if maybe that could cause my problem of bottoming out on big bumps.
Thanks all CP
