35 p/u Wires in the horn?

Steel 35

I tested the horn before installing it; Failed its going back on a 35 p/u 6V + Ground. When I removed the top cap there were no wires attached it is possible the ground loop was under the cap bolt? but after cleaning the bottom of the solenoid and trying the wires in this position with clips it worked is it correct? Its very important to me; My wife told me one time the only thing she liked about my truck was the horn.

Your horn looks to be set up for a relay. The original deal was a hot wire to one terminal and the other terminal grounds when the horn button is pushed. Yours is grounded to the case so you need to run a relay which is activated by the button and feeds current to the horn.

Thanks and it did indeed have a relay!
