35 heads

Have a 37 block in my 35 coupe. I don't have any aluminum heads. I have two sets of cast iron heads.
68-6050-B---Enclosed pump bolt---Large spark plug hole---No Ford script---Flat over piston
68-6050-B---Ford script---Small plug hole--exposed pump hole---dished over piston.
My pistons are flat, What head should I use?

Something is amiss. The cylinder heads for flat-top and domed pistons do not carry the same part number and unless there was a mis-build, all 68-prefix heads were designed for domed pistons. Perchance is the prefix of your head for flat-top pistons '48' rather than '68'?

Dumb me; 48-prefix heads also are for domed pistons. It's 40-prefix heads for flat-top pistons. Sorry for any resulting confusion.

O.K. you are right both heads are dished . Is it O.K. to use the dished head with flat pistons? Also does the straighter water passage on the enclosed pump flange cool better?

Later domed heads with flattop pistons will work...you just loose compression.
The ideal would be to get domed pistons.
