35 fordor windshield question

My brother is working on a 35 fordor and has a question on the finish on the inside. The frame is chrome plated. Does the inside just remain un polished chrome, or is it painted? If painted, what color?

I have seen some black on the back side of the frame.

it should be painted the color of the interior.

I can't speak for others but all the inside '35-'36 windshield frames I have seen were a semi-gloss black in color.
