I am starting to assemble the front sheet metal on the 35 and do not have the screws that go through the front hood hinge and hood ornament. Does any one have an idea where to find them, or what length and thread count they should be? Thanks in advance. P.S. already checked with Roy

10/24 One side of my center hinge. with nothing to hold .050 head

I believe 10/24 pan head screws are correct, but I have not measured them lately. You can probably get them from Roy or from Fastenal.

Oldbugger, I was not able to answer you PM on this yesterday. Here is what I have on my original Rouge class '35 fordor sedan to fasten the hood ornament and hinge to the top of the radiator.

Two Slotted Flat Head 12-24 thread machine screws
Overall length = 0.640"
Threaded length = 0.500"
Separate cone shaped lock washers used under head of the screws

I would be surprised if Roy N. does not have these screws and washers.
If you would like to buy them in SS I know Totally Stainless Inc. has these screws to the exact dimensions and thread size/count given above. They may have the washer as well. I'll add some pictures to this post later.

Here are some not so very good pictures from my cell phone camera...

Thanks for the info, that is just what I needed. I emailed Roy he did not have these. Thanks again.

I checked the screws on the rear hood hinge of my car and they are the same exact screws that are used on the front hood ornament and hinge except they use a square nut and split lock washer to hold the hinge to the cowl.
