I have a real "Frankenstein" flathead in my '35 Coupe - it's a '37 block with 32-36 heads. The '37 was a on-off year with 21 stud heads and a centre spigot so I decided I wanted to install a set of '37 centre spigot heads with block mounted water pumps and - commenced a quest and located a set. I came upon a set of beautiful NOS never used cast-iron heads. The pictures provided by the seller were good so, I noticed there was a subtle difference which turned out to be the were milled for "domed" pistons! Well as I said - "Frankenstein", my pistons are flat tops and therefore, these nice new NOS heads would not work. I considered replacing the pitons with proper flat top '37 pistons but, floating rod bearings are a supply issue as I have 0.20 bearings - I can't find any! So, while I continue my search, which will take "who know how long" I contacted H&H and they have 6 sets of '37 Sharp Aluminium heads that have yet to be machined so, I've ordered a "Frankenstein" 21 stud head set milled for flat top pistons! Woot - Woot!
I am however, still on a quest to locate a set of rear window panels that hold the rear window regulator for the 35-35 Ford Coupes - if anyone might have one or both, I don't need the regulator.
