35 fan

Does the 37 short block sit higher in the chassis than a 35 ? 35 Fan will hit the radiator. I do have a 37 manifold that would lower the generator and fan. Car is not a judgable car. Ju.st a very pretty driver. I have a 37 fan, if the blades were put on a 35 hub I think it would have clearance. Front of 37 blades are tapered back.

Actually, a 35 fan is smaller dia than a 37. However, gene mount on a 37 intake is lower than 35-36.

What all are you trying to accomplish?

A 37 block should not sit any differently in the engine compartment than a 35 engine. 37 engines have the same footprint as 35/36 and were sometimes used as replacements in Ford's engine exchange program. Your 35 fan issues are the result of something else. Are you using a 35 radiator?....Do you really have a 35 fan?.....A 35 intake?...Is your generator correct and is its height adjusted properly? How about some photos of your components and as John says...an explanation of what you are trying to do.

The motor mounts changed to the pumps for 37 but as was mentioned the pump fit is pretty much the same as the old water inlet mount fitting was.

Knowing whether it is a 37 engine in a 35 vehicle would be good. There is no mention of what it's all for. They used block off plates for the pumps when retrofitting the later engines in the earlier cars.
