Did any 35's or 36's use a spoon pedal? Ive never seen one but would like to use an original 30's spoon in my 36 Anyone have pice of this set up in a 36? thanks

The '35-'36 1/2 ton pick-ups, and probably other comm. vehicles of those years, used a spoon gas pedal. Is your '36 a passenger car?

Based on the info/pictures I have, '34 was the last year cars used spoons, but trucks used them for several years later.

so Im assuming they mouted in the pick-ups from the engine compartment side of the firewall like the 35-36 passenger cars? does anyone have a pick of the spoon pedal mounted in a truck?

Ford always mounted them into the recess on the firewall so the shaft could go through into the interior of the car where the spoon was located. There are long shaft versions for the 6-cylinder types and medium length for the V8s. The real early ones had a very short shaft and one mount hinge post. Later types had two mount hinge posts. As far as I know all Fords from 32 through 48 (47 on trucks/pick ups) had the spoon type with the exception of some of the big trucks (COEs).
