34 striker plates

Hey guys, so these striker plates are suppose to fit a 34 closed cab.
The picture is my 3 window, the rib that the striker plate sits on does not match the striker plate.
any idea why ? Thanks

The strikers in my 3w have two steps, like a safety feature. Mine are aftermarket, perhaps not the original design? Can't remember the stamped rib you show

All of the original period Ford closed car/closed cab latch catches are two stage as ca3 notes.

Yes sir it is,

The first picture is of the back of the striker plate, showing the little ribs that straddle the single rib on the car body, allowing the striker plate to move for or aft and be locked in position.

I’d make a nut plate for the back side. Help prevent sliding after you tighten. My opinion only.

That rib gives the teeth on the striker plate something to bite into and hold it in adjustment.

Found and bought this one on ebay, I need one more, anyone have 1 they would let go of ? Or know anyone who carries them.
Everyone I called today all had the thin teeth ones.

Stepping in late... but the 3 window striker is different than the striker used on the pickup. The one you found has the rounded face typical of a 3 window. You might be getting yourself in a deeper situation trying to mix/match parts that may or may not functionally replace each other.

Keep in mind that multiple years used the stepped striker plate. While it seems like they may be interchangeable, they aren't.

For what specific year and body style are you needing the strikers?

Im looking for striker plates for a 34 3 window, Ive found 1 on ebay so Im looking for 1 more.
