i just got a 34 sedan del it has a stock engine and stock streering box at some time some body put in a drop axle and hydr brakes with 40 backer plates on the drums they also put the after market a fram that bolts to the the backer plate for the drag link to attach to i have alot of play in the streering wheel so i set the box up the way it is in the book but when i hook up the drag link it takes the streering box of center and i get play in the wheel there most be an easy way to fix this this can,t be the only one with this problem i called the last two onwers and they send it alwats been like that the streering was loose so does any one have an easy cure for this mike

The LF adaptor arms (hairpin) are all made incorrectly, with the pivot hole directly over the axle center at straight ahead. The original spindle arm is about 3/4" AHEAD of center at straight ahead. The incorrect adaptor causes
the original drag link to be too long, so when the steering is on center, the front wheels are making a left turn. The semi-solution is to make an adjustable drag link so things can be adjusted so the front wheels are straight
ahead when the steering is on-center, where there should be no play....

This seems to be an ongoing problem. How about someone looking into making a correctly designed part?

I'll get right on it.... We always use the original spindles on 32-34's, even with dropped (original) axles) AND make an adjustable drag link from 32-34 tie rod parts. This retains the "vintage look" and permits fine-tuning the centering of the steering so when driving straight-ahead, there is no play, much the same as can be done with 35-48's with cross-steering. There is built-in play on either side of center to permit adjusting the center for wear without the gears
binding up off of center position.
