34 speedo cable

After refitting the rear end of the 34, I did up the speedo cable nut on the turtle, and promptly broke it, because like a dummy, used a set of slip jaws to tighten it,
It was a fairly new cable, so thought I could fix the nut.
I turned up a new nut from nylon, the machined a sleave to fit over it, then cut the new nut in half ,slipped it over the end of the cable then slipped the sleave over the whole thing and screwed it onto the turtle, came out nice,
The rear end was out to fit a new ring and pinion , this was the project from the last week.
Test drive today and its very nice and quiet.
Was going to pull the engine as it had a large oil leak at the back of the engine, turned out to be the fitting for the oil pressure gauge, easy fix
