34 Roadster and Phaeton

On the top of the hinge post on the rear quater panels is a capping piece. For the roadster it is the finsihing piece between the hinge edge and the top iron anchors. Does any one make repos, does anyone have originals even for patterns, does the phaeton version also fit?

I don't think that the roadster piece and the phaeton piece are the same. That cap is just a continuation of the body moulding.
I can supply information of a phaeton piece, if you can use it.

For the roadster cap you might try Steves Auto Restoration. They may make that piece for their roadster?

As per your PM message, I have enclosed two photos of the phaeton hinge post top cap.
I have also enclosed two photos of the cap next to the top iron support. This is more what you are needing, but the size is different.

I just found a fairly close-up photo of the piece that you need, on a '34 roadster. I believe, now, that it just might be the same as my phaeton's.
Right now, it is on page 10, of the Early V8 Ford Section. Find "RICHARD LACY'S 1934 ROADSTER". I'm sure that he would give you the exact dimensions.
