I have a repro luggage rack that's missing brackets. My Roadster has the rear mounted tire and bumper guards. Anyone have drawings so I can have some made, know a vendor that sells them or have a set for sale? I can't tell what they look like from pictures in the EFV8 club manual. I have a bag bith the nuts and bolts and a pair of 11 1/2 inch long ones with a slight curve. There's got to be some missing pieces.

Foxfire, I have a luggage rack on the back of my 34 Phaeton. I shall send you some pictures. I sold a pair or these brackets a year or so ago to a Chuck Pickney in the Seattle area. From memory he had a pair and one of them was broken but brazed back together. It would not be realistic to make these. They make some sort of repo brackets, but not even close to the originals.

Hi Foxfire (and Elmer).
I can help you out with a used pair of original brackets also can supply a pattern for the longer bumper irons and also the stiffening bracket that ties the longer irons back to the chassis.
Elmer has the correct brackets on his phaeton as I supplied him with his ones many years back.
They were at one time reasonably easy to find in NZ as a lot of our 34 sedans (ex Canada) were fitted with racks either when equipped with side or rear mounted spares.
I can also copy the information for you that appeared in the Ford Canada Service bulletins (not in the USA Bulletins).

Graham:

Did FoxFire buy the used set of luggage rack brackets from you? If so, you mentioned you have patterns for the irons. We have a friend that has the rack with no brackets, and I'm sure he would be interested in the patterns. Let us know.
Thanks, Gordy
