34 interior cost

Need some more valued expertise and advise from the "Barn gang". I know this very subjective but, I need a baseline price.Today I started my search for a local shop to complete the interior on my 34 five window. I was sort of "blown" away by the first quote I received! The quote was nearly what I paid for the body and paint work and that wasn't bargain basement. What can be considered a fair Mid-Western price (this isn't L.A or N.Y) for a complete interior job done in synthetic leather? Bench seat, door panels, headliner, rug etc.
Thanks again for the input.

Check with LeBaron-Bonney for cost of an interior. They may be high priced, but it will give you an idea of cost. The 3,000 to 3,500 sounds kind of low, but i"m in NJ where everything is expensive.

These guys are right on on the interior price. There is quite a bit to it and labor intensive.

Agreed correct on price. Twice I have purchase a complete stock LB '34 3W interior, had it installed locally, cost was $2700 in labor, did a fantastic job.

Call lebaron-bonney, you can send them the seat springs to upholster, they will send perfect door panels and all other parts, take your time and install it yourself. I did, and results are great! well worth it.

I know that your no where near san diego, but i had mine done in a shop in tijuana by a guy whos been doing it since 59 and he did an amazing job for....$650.no crap,no rip off just a damn good job.so we had a 54 caddy,65 impala,62 impala wagon and a 59 ford all done there and the quality is top notch.

It would pay me to ship the car to San Diego and have the car done in Mexico! Interior and shipping would be cheaper than the price I received Plus..... maybe I combine a trip to Cancun or Cabo........winter in Mex beats winter in Wisconsin!
