34 ignition switch

Can someone tell me, I want to remove the PIN (post) that is situated on the barrel that controls the on and off switch box so I can replace the barrel assembly. Does it screw it or is pressed in? Also I need to replace the ignition tumbler, will a tumbler from a 32 replace the 34? I want to know before I go through the trouble of pulling it out. Thanks

The pin is pressed in when I removed the pin I grasped it with pliers, pulled, and it popped out. As for the ignition lock cylinder a 32 is the same as the 34 the part # is B-3686.
