J jimTN Well-known member Jun 23, 2010 #2 A stock 34 cap should not have a vent and seal to the filler neck when put on. The 34 gets its vent from the hydrostatic pick up unit in the tank. If your neck is sloshing, it is not sealing correctly and needs a new cap w/gasket and no vent hole.
