34 Ford Header Panel ,cover or Wood grain ?

Has anyone ever " Wood grained " the Header Panel in a 34 car ? , if so what does it look like as compared to the Panel being covered with the same headliner material ? thought I might try it , can always cover it later . just did the dash and garnishes..

Not sure what you would gain by woodgraining the header panel, might look odd to do so. I too really like the look of woodgraining, but stick with the parts it should be on. However, I have always wanted to woodgrain a set of '34 heads. I could imagine the comments at a car show when I tell onlookers that '34 Fords also came with an option of wooden heads, walnut burl......

Would get a little gaudy with the header panel woodgrained, IMO it looks better covered with headliner material.

The whole interior of my truck is done in real wood, either rock maple or cherry, the dash and header panel are painted body color, even for a wood psyco like me there is such a thing as too much wood. View the avatar.
