34 Ford coupe trunk drain question

I am trying to get all the little things done in anticipation of turning the car over to the body/paint shop and would prefer not to be screwing up a new paint job. The car started as a channeled rat rod and much sheet metal was gone when I got it. Raised it up to stock height and installed new trunk floor and drop off. Can anyone tell me or shoot pictures of how the trunk lid side channels drain water? There is no provision for a bottom rubber seal that I can determine. Thanks Fordbarn!

The water runs down the driprails straight into the rear of the trunk floor. There is a interior body panel that keeps it from running up into the trunk area and the water drains out through holes in the floor. That's the way it was designed from the factory. It wasn't a design that was intended to preserve the floor forever!

there is an L shaped rail that runs accross the pan to help keep water to rear. I have a rumble seat so I didn't use it. Now I have to keep it out of rain.

If set up as rumble seat there is no provision to collect water running down the side drain rails because the deck lid needs swing room, thus drains to rear floor area. However, if you set up as trunk then there is a panel down at the bottom of the opening to catch the rain, with drain holes at either end. This is my old '33, we got these parts from Steve's Auto Restoration,http://store.realsteel.com/19rococalodr.html but others sell these parts as well.
