34 door handle springs

Just would like to know how to replace the remote door handle springs? Looks like you have to take apart the remote and you know the tangs will break? Is the some kind of "Speical" tool?? Also, left and right spring position. Everyone I have picked up has broken springs. Thanks

They can break ,you could try heating to a dull red then bend them .If they break put some weld on at the back,

always heat the tangs dull red at the bend when prying up with screwdriver or they will probably break. straighten the kink after its apart with hammer and dolley i reheat again when apart for insurance. check the cams for wear build up with weld if necessary. hammer the annealed tangs down cold.
