'34 Deluxe Sedan Dash Wiring

I have two dash lights.
One light is mounted at the upper cowl and its wire is connected to the right side of the fuse block.
The second light is mounted on the lower center of the dash, the wire goes to a switch mounted on the lower left of the dash. I have no other wire.
Can any one confirm that the switch is then connected to the right pole of the fuse block?

If not....where?

Thanks!
Cheers!!

The easiest way for you to see this dash instrument light circuit is to track it on your wiring diagram in your 1934 ford handbook. Otherwise it goes like this -- from your dashlight(s) the wire(s) go to one terminal of the dash light switch on the lower dash. From the other terminal on the dash light switch a single wire (black with a blue tracer) goes into the main wiring loom under the dash and eventually comes out at the tail light connection inside the headlight switch at the bottom of the steering column. This means that the dash lights will only work when the tail, cowl, headlights are on. There is no connection with the dash instrument lights and the fuse block. There is another black with blue tracer wire on the fuse block but this wire goes to the roof dome light. Your car may not have original factory wiring if you cant follow this. Hope this helps you, regards, Kevin.

Yeah, that makes sense, but......
I've got a light socket with an "original like" pig tail wire about 18 inches long with an "original like doughnut style terminal post connection at the end......no it is not the cigar lighter socket....I have that too.

The light switch has a wire about 10 inches long that is connected to a light socket.
The cowl portion of the wiring harness has the colored wire you describe, yet it has a "original like" bullet connection at the end.

Do it like this, Connect the wire with the doughnut terminal (you can cut the doughtnut term off because its not correct) into the 10" long wire that goes from one switch terminal to the other dash light. Connect the black with blue tracer wire which has the bullet terminal into the other dash light switch terminal, It should just push in if the terminals are original 34 ford. Just make sure that the doughtnut terminal wire DOES go into the centre connection of the light socket and NOT on the body of the socket as if it were an earth wire. If it is an earth wire DONT CONNECT IT into the other wire. CLEAR ?? Got to go to bed its one am here down under .
