I've read that some of the reproduction door check straps are too flimsy, but I don't seem to have much choice but to replace one of my broken OEM straps.
I already have door panels off to replace latch springs, but before I tear into anything else, I'd like to know how much more I have to dismantle to get to the rear attachment point (door post) of the broken strap. Can I access the rear of the post by removing just the rumble seat side panels, or does the front seat and frame have to come out too?
