34 5 Window Wiper Holes

The attached photo shows the holes(2) for windshield wiper holes right and left.

My question is the passenger side hole an original hole for tandem wipers or something someone has added. It is smaller than the driver's side.

Your thoughts are appreciated!!:):):)

Marvin,

I've seen the tandem wiper kits where it has a connecting rod coming over from the driver's wiper to connect to another wiper mounted to a dead post on the passenger's side and I've also seen coupes with dual vacuum wiper motors. I've got pictures of both options on original, unrestored cars.

I would guess that maybe the dead post for the tandem kit might use a smaller hole, where to use an actual second wiper motor it would require the same size hole?

I guess either way is an option. Most of the restoration parts suppliers have the tandem kits.

I've attached pictures of cars both ways.

Randy

My 34 5 w came with 1 drivers side wiper as original, I added a passenger side wiper hole and have tandem wipers now.
