Hi all,

the larger restoration supply places dont seem to list door window regulators for 32-34 pickups.. I have a vague memory of reading they are the same as A model ones.. is this correct? if not, are they reproduced? or even the gear quadrant piece? mine are really worn out.
thanks from Australia..

Ben

No, they are not exactly the same. Of course all Model A regulators are not the same as each other. The differences from the Model A coupe regulator includes that he handle shaft is center drilled and tapped for a set screw, the arm is 1/2" different in length, and the ends use the spring/washer end rather than the solid round slide.

It is possible to modify a pair of Vintique Model A coupe regulators, which already have the handle shaft drilled and tapped, using a 1932 coupe (Vintique) regulator as a donor for the arm ends (the 32 has two arms) by cutting off the Model A ends and welding on the 1932 ends.

As to accurate repros keep your antenna up, there are rumors...

To answer your inquiry, I have been offering converted 32-4 PU regulators for a number of years. They have the correct spring loaded slide stud. I also have the correct slide rear window regulator for the 5w coupe.
