33 Radiator

Almost finished installing a Brassworks Radiator in the 33. The quality of the new Rad was excellent. I purchased an installation kit from Roy while waiting for the Rad. The question I have is there different sizes to the small bolts that hold the hood catches and grill brackets. What I had to do was enlarge the keyhole slots on the side straps to fit the bolts that I have. They were the same as the old ones I took out.
On checking the old rad these holes have also been enlarged.
Are there different sizes ?.

When I took my 34 apart, there was smaller head carriage bolts that fit the smaller holes. All the current bolts ( even Roy's kit ) have a little bigger head. IIRC they were the same length though.

Yeah all the replacement bolt heads I got from Vintique were larger also. Lucky to have a pretty well equipped shop, I turned them down in my lathe. I could have chucked them up in an electric drill and laid them on a file too I suppose.
I did compare the Vintique 33 front hood latch to an original and they were close, but needed tweaking.
