Lovely old car, I can't believe the yanks havn't commented about the steering wheel being on the wrong side. Cheers Kiwi Tony.

Nice looking '33 Fordor. Lawrie, just wondering origin of your car, as it is not an Australian Geelong produced sedan. Ex NZ or Sth America/ Sth Africa?

our 33 is an ex New Zealand car, spent the first 50yrs in Invergargil with the one family.
We bought it from NZ about 12 yrs ago,
It was repainted in 85.
There was NO rust in it.
Small setback this arfo though,
I had wire brushed and cleaned out the seam at the rear of the floorpan where it meets rear panel under the rear window, filled it with undersealer, great job, except thats where the rear quarter windows drain,,so dug it all out and just a single coat of rustkill and black.

Danny, if I pulled my finger out in a week or so,But the holdup is the slack service from an OS supplier, waiting for the door glass channels and other small stuff.
I may well put the old stuff back.
Hows the 35 coming.

Lawrie I haven't been home since august, so all is quiet at home. The plan is to finish my 35 motor and use this in the roadster to go to the efv8 nationals in Brisbane in June. I'll also have to replace kingpins, st box, tie rods and overhaul the brakes. The soft top is shagged, not sure what to do about tidying that up. I inquired at Lebaron Bonney and macs but obviously with the Aus roadsters nobody makes a top that will fit. I don't really want to have a top made till I'm getting closer to restoring it properly. I have alot of work already booked in for the new year already, so the phaeton will have to wait a while yet.

The location of the steering wheel, doesn't that pose a problem with the clutch and brake pedals.

As I have to educate constantly about my RHD kiwi 36 ford i have over here . The steering wheel is on the "Right" side , not the wrong side !
Cheers
Tony
