33 LED bulb availability

Led light.com’s site very confusing. Their sales department can’t look up old vehicles. Do you know the part numbers for head and tail lamps?? I don’t want to take the lenses off twice, just want to put in the new LED’s. Thanks.

The headlights are the flange type bulbes #62528, tail lights are #95634. This is the type with offset alignment pins.
I recommend you look at both your head and tail bulbs before ordering to make sure they are the same. If not, you'll have to look on their site. They have many different types.

Try www.classicbulbs.com. I got the exactly correct bulbs for my 1935 Ford truck. I even picked out the wrong headlight bulbs (my mistake) and he took them back and exchanged them for the correct ones - no questions asked. He also patiently went through every LED bulb application on my truck to be sure they were all correct.

Anthony Pearson is the owner. While he resides in Australia, you can purchase his bulbs is the US through his US representative at www.classicbulbs.com. Purchases and returns are all done in the USA and don't go through Australia, it's all in the USA. I try to purchase things made in the USA but there are times, like this, that quality and service are more important.

Apparently I have purchased halogen headlight bulbs part number 170-957H, from the same company, but with the Little British Car Co web address. I was very pleased with the improvement in light output. I am now interested in their LED options for 35-38 Fords, part numbers 170-754L and 170-754LP. What part number did you use, and how does it compare to incandescent bulb light at night?

I went looking through their website to find an LED option for the earlier bayonet base headlight bulbs like the 33 uses without success, but I may have missed something.

FYI. here is my 35 with the LED bulbs I mentioned.

Thank you for adding the pictures to this thread too. The lights look very bright, but are focused very close to the front of the car. Have you experimented with adjusting the focus further down the road?

Edit, With incandescent lights there is a much more gradual change between bright light and no light. I need to mention one of the things I dislike in modern cars with LED headlights is the very sharp cutoff of light. I find the sharp cutoff frustrating when driving a modern car since my eyes adjust to the very bright area and can't see much at all beyond the cutoff. As a driver facing an oncoming car the LEDs go from not that bright to blinding with no transition between.
All right, I'll try to quit behaving like a grumpy old man now, I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from improving the lights in their old Ford.

Beware! Original '33-'34 headlamp sockets and bulbs are not the same as those used originally on '35-'36s. Tail lamp bulbs, yes, headlamp bulbs, no.

I took those photos after my first night drive with them. I could adjust them up a little. I like that I have the generator's adjustable almost at its lowest setting and still get a slight positive charge with the lights on. This makes the generator very happy.

Steve, those numbers don’t work for my car. The picture looks the the bulbs for 35-37. Mine are the regular bulb type.

Are the '33-'34 headlamp bulbs the same as model A? If so, the Logolites focused beam LEDs work great. I put them in my '31 model A pickup.

Got mine from Amazon. You gotta know if you need staggered pins or straight.

As in the photo, they are straight. Ken do you have a part number? Never dreamed it would be so hard to buy some LED bulbs!
