33 halogen bulbs

Which halogen bulbs—- the original bulbs had halogen gas fill and there are several wattages quartz halogen bulbs.
I have been using 35 watt quartz halogen bulbs in my model A for the last 25+ years with stock generator and wiring,
Because much of my driving is at night and relatively short trips and a good portion of daylight driving is parades my charging rate is set at 14 amps
Some halogen bulbs made now do not have the filament in the proper location to get good focus easily, even the shape of the filament makes a difference.
The design of the 3 brush charging system is such that for average driving there will be a discharge showing with the headlights on, on my A the 14 amp rate puts my charge rate about even with lights on, before when I had 50cp regular bulbs I would rank the generator to 18 amps to make them bright , 50 years on the generator and had a bearing failure, only replaced the bearing, can’t blame that on the higher than normal charging rate.

I'd look for LED bulbs - you'll not put a heavy draw on your generator, and they should last a long time (so the story goes anyway)!
