33-34 top of cowl

Would someone inform me of the differnces in the top of the cowl for 33 and 34. I have one that does not have double ribs where the lacing goes and one that does. The one that does not has a flat ledge where the lacing goes and the divit for the hood prop is higher, not at the firewall.

never saw a hood divot on any thing but a 1934 from Henry.Have seen a couple hammered in on a 33.Perhaps you may have one like that.lol

Hey Bill , The one in your pic is 34 . A 33 top wouldn't have the two gaps in the double ridge closest to center - the ones on the sides are there both years . The rest of the cowl has some differences 33 to 34 but you asked about the top .
