32 value of B chassis

32 ford barn

I would like to get an idea of the value of my chassis. I drive this every week. Runs fine but does leak. Here is what I have. Original early B chassis. Fresh powdered coated frame. Orig. cross members. New recored radiator. Diamond block, Winfield head, Riley two pot with 97's. Excellent shifting trans that doesn't kick out of gear. Quiet 4 cyl. rear end. Ford hydraulic brakes. Just installed with Industrial Chassis Co. pedals. Stainless brake lines. Excellent orig. firewall. Non orig. gas tank. Probably some odds and ends. Keeping all of the sheet metal, bumpers and brackets etc. Matching Ca. title and license. Thanks for any feedback.

Re: 32 B chassis

I would try first to sell it together or you will spend a lot of time and end up with a lot of left over parts. What is early, give the serial number with the last 3 digits blanked out when you advertise.

Thanks, Charley, By early I meant that it does not have the rear frame reinforcements. Frame nos. are B5115 thanks, Jim

I assume you mean *B5115XXX* where XXX is the last three digits and * is the Ford star that appears before and after the serial number. That engine/transmission would have passed inspection in June of '32 with the assembly going into a car slightly later. I thought you might be saying that it was super early which might be of interest to some people. My '32 has a serial number that says the engine/transmission was assembled in January 1932. It is good to point out that the 4 cylinder engines were put in storage until the V8 cars were released and the engine 4 cylinder engine build dates are therefore not a reliable way to date the production of the vehicle.

Its worth what ever some one is willing to pay for it. Because of the butchers who destroy original equipment, original parts are way overpriced by folks trying to recover their modified car costs.
