32 Spindles

I picked up a 32 Ford wide beam axle & wishbones recently. Will the 32 spindles accept later 39-48 hydraulic brakes or should I find later spindles?

According to Early V8 Garage / Richard Lacy, the answer is yes, but you need some sort of adapter and you might have to open up the backing plate holes. He likes this method 'cause the steering adjustment is way better if you're using the '32 drag link and steering box. My experience is that if you use the later spindles with an undropped axle, you'll have to drop the steering arms quite a bit to get the tie rod under the wishbone. (Did I get this right Richard?)
