32 rubber floor mat question

Does the rubber floormat use any fastener studs/clips to hold it down like the carpet floormats? If so, how many and what locations? I have two "extra" holes in the #1 floorboard, but none in the #2 board. Just trying to get it right (the first time)!
Thanks
Floyd

Yes; off the top of my head, there are four across the front of the mat on the #1 floor board (one of which is actually a hole in the upper left hand corner of the pedal plate retaining the sponge rubber weather seal around the pedals and steering column tube).

Retention of the floor mat at the rear of the mat depends on the body type; what's yours?

The female fasteners that fit into the holes of the wood #1 board are shown below as well as the male fasteners that go through the mat.

Thanks Dave, the body is a roadster. Are the studs painted to match the taupe color mat?
Also , rumble mat/carpet use these fasteners?
Thanks again for everything, especially "The Book", we would be truely lost without it.

Thanks
Floyd

Floyd,

You're welcome!

The rear corners of your front mat fasten with the same male fasteners in holes in the #1 steel cross sill of your roadster's body. Ford's finish designation was "S-15", which is described as "oxidized". In plainer words, the finish was a dark bronze.

Since a '32 rumble mat is trapped on all four sides, no fasteners were used to attach it to the floor (unlike in subsequent model years).
