32 Roadster dash color details

Although "dash" is the firewall, I am referring to the common use of the word dashboard. What little I do know is standard roadster was painted and deluxe was woodgrain (walnut burl)?
The questions I have are;
1) Is the woodgrain walnut burl or something else?
2) was the woodgrain "booked" symetrical grain about a centerline? The pictures of the cabriolet dash seems to be a booked woodgrain
3) What is the color of the back side of the dash?
There are pictures of closed cars and cabs in the books, some in color, but I have not found a good picture of the roadster dash.
Thanks
Floyd

Here's a photo of an original phaeton/roadster front belt rail finish panel ("dash") with the burl grain. It is clearly not "booked" (symmetrical side to side). Early in the model year, a straight grain was used.

Also shown is the cabriolet photo which I believe you are referring to. If you enlarge it, I believe that you will find it also is not symmetrical from side to side.

I forgot to add that the back is finished in the same red base coat that is used on the front prior to the inking process.
