32 or 34 rear cross

On my 32 5W I has a 37 rearaxle and spring and frame is a std 32 with a std rear cross.
I like the car ’rather’ low in rear so the 7.50 tires is nice in wheel openings, so say 2” space atleast.
I was at a swapmeet and bought a very nice 34 cross and if I’m correct that was a hotrod trix to change it.
I cant say how much lower but is it maybe 1-2” ?
I need to get out some tension in rear spring so remove some leafs, so my guess that lower it some to, but how low will a std 32 cross give me or a 34 cross - or do I need make the 32 totally flat to come down where I like it ?
Note tires is 31.5” tall.
Ideas.

My 32 sedan has a semi flattened stock spring and crossmember. I have about five inches before the axle hits the frame. If you use a 34 crossmember and slightly flatten the stock spring you would be golden.

As you probably know, a 37 spring won’t fit a 32-34 crossmember without grinding on it.

Thanks.
Thats a good measure ( axle to frame )
I will check but I think in my mock-up now ( just to see location ) I’m closer to frame than 5”.

I made a jig to hold the '32 crossmember, cut the frame ends off and welded a 33/34 crossmember between the '32 [frame fitting] ends. Worked great. Spring center bolt hole was also positioned by jig. Newc
