32 Model B Zenith question

How do you disconnect the choke cable from a 32 zineth carburetor? Need to check on float setting and can't figure out how to disconnect the cable

Unbolt the cable from the intake, unbolt the choke lever from the carb, pull the spring back and slide the tube up the cable. That should allow you to remove the cable from the carb. To remove it completely from the car remove the snap ring and slide the spring and tube off, then pull the whole thing through the dash/firewall.

Thanks Phil for your info. After putting on some glasses and a good light I found my problem. My Zenith does not have a spring over the sleeve and the sleeve was pinned to the choke shaft with a very small diameter cotter pin.

Does anyone know a vender that sells these choke springs?

Is there supposed to be a small clip on the cable end? There is a groove on the cable end and it seems I read something about a clip in a service bulletin(that has disappeared)

What is the proper float setting?

Thanks

Vince,

Please read my PM for some clarifications on the pages cited in your reply.

Thanks.

My apologies for the confusion. The PM that I sent was to Vince Falter regarding some suggested other information on the page on his website that he provided a link to in his response to your question. They do not affect what has been posted on your thread.
