'32 headlight repair parts

Where is the best place to get parts for a '32 headlight? I need new headlight base swivel metal that the bolt goes into. I can find the bolt etc but can't find the new metal to replace the rusted stuff.
thanks, oj

Since no one has responded I think the parts may not be out there. I haven’t seen these parts sold separately anywhere but I must admit I haven’t been following the vendor catalogues. I would start by looking for a scrap bucket that you could remove the part from (I checked my parts as I used to have one but it was so bad I think I may have junked it). Call a few of the suppliers and ask if they have anything laying around. Having said that it might be better to just find a restorable bucket with the parts attached unless your buckets are awfully good. Next try the companies that reproduce the headlights and see if they might have the parts. I think Drake makes them and Vintique. You may need to get to Vintique through a retailer. Go through C W Moss cwmossautoparts.com, (714) 639-3083 as there is some sort of relationship between the two companies.

C W Moss would be a source for what you are looking for. The sell a repair kit that have really great "blind" stainless steel bolts. These replace the rivits that hold the headlite mount to the shell. They also sell lense, lense cork, lense clips, reflectors, etc.
have fun.

Thanks guys, I have had good luck with cw moss/vintiques with some other odd pieces and I found them to be very knowledgeable and helpful. I got motivated and made what I needed but it took a full day to do a 30minute task if I had the right parts, oh well.
Thanks for all the help guys, I do appreciate it. oj

May not work for what you have but if you are 12 volts the "Brite" bulbs from Ron francis (wire-works.com, (800) 292-1940) go into the original sockets and are VERY bright. I use them in my '32.

The base swivel parts from a model a head light will replace the 32 parts. Sometimes you can buy beat up lamps for a short song on ebay because most buyers are looking for good shells, not the swivels.
