I've used both and the repro just doesn't quite fit like the original. A little massaging and it works fine. The originals just have a little bit different shape and really hug the shell. Problem is they are a ***** to polish unless you can do it by hand. I had a professional polisher doing one for me and he dam near lost some fingers when it caught the wheel and whipped around. He said no more. I've started cleaning them up on the shell where they won't get away from you. I don't have a repro to compare but the originals do have the 1/8 inch hole on the top.
