32 Grill Question

Trying to figure out something with a 32 grill and hoping for some help from others who have done this. I'm running a 32 grill shell on a 31 Model A with a 31 Model A hood. The problem I'm having is the center hinge of the Model A doesn't fit with the front 32 hinge mount on the grill. When I run the 31 Model A hinge mount on the 32 grill it comes up to short.

What's the correct way to go about fixing this problem? Can I run a 32 center hinge on the 31 Model A hood and if so what needs to be done to make that work?

No way to use a 32 hinge on a Model A hood. I have seen it done but you need to graft the hinge section length from a donor 32 top halves to the Model A hood.

Not a cheap solution but Rootlieb does make Model A hoods with a 32 center hinge.
