32 Ford Roadster windsheild

After collecting parts for my orignal 32 Roadster for years, I am now very close to the finish line. The last part I need is an orignal windsheild frame and upper stanchoins - I know it is a hard one and they are rare but fingers crossed that someone in here can help thank you

Me to, searched until I got down to needing the parts. I did score a really cherry pair of lower stanchions which sure fit better than the reproductions. I ended up with uppers from Superior Industries (same place I got my top irons) and a windshield frame from Walter Trautwein. The uppers and windshield both fit really good with equal side gaps. Even though mine is a Hot Rod I still wanted a really good fit since it is an original body.

I like the Speedway windshields. They fit the best for me on my ginnie body. They are not thick enough though.

Deuce roadster,

With respect, not even in the same league as those from N/C Industries in Pennsylvania.

If it is any help, I have a spare right side post.

I got lucky and found one at the LA roadster show , not the best of condition but Real! I missed one as well and my buddy got it . So they are out there but go fast .. Did you try the early ford store in Cali?

Thank you so much for the help, I will try to contact the companies you suggest - thx, I know it is hard , but would be nice with a 100% orginal car

There is one listed now on EBAY but bottom corners rusted out.Maybe fixable if you have the skills.I had one this past June that was complete with upper stanchions (no lower )but the Ford Store bought it from me.Frame was rough in the corners.

I have the attached parts. How do you distinguish A from deuce?

The two quick ways to distinguish a '32 phaeton/roadster windshield frame from any other (Ford frame of the era) are: 1) its the only one with four side curtain studs on each side of the exterior of the frame and 2) Model A frames have a round cross section while that of '32 frames is rectangular with a very slight convexity to the front and back sides of the frames.

Model A deluxe posts have the side curtain studs attached to the front of the post and the '32 posts have none.

The above suggests that the frame in the photos above is a '32 frame. I would still measure just to be sure.
