32 Ford Grill Insert

Can anyone tell me how to tell the difference between an original and a repop 32 Ford Grill insert?

About $400 :) Actually, I'll be curious to see what everyone says. I need one for my roadster but want to find an original that needs work. I've even thought of trying to make one. I really don't want a repop like everyone else...

I have two different styles of insert "frame". I have one that the stainless trim completely covers the frame and the bars pierce through...and then the others have the steel frame with the clip on (removable) stainless band. What is the 3rd style? Is it a variation of one of these two?

Alway looking to learn...

As much as I can gather, YES, it was an ALL stainless version, but varied because of small ridge outside where the bars mount...I also have never seen this version Neal, and its said in to be rare....

But again, may have just been slight difference due to suppliers and manufacturing, thats seems to be pretty much normal...

Im sure theres more to it though.
 
Generally repros are all stainless, although you can get one with plain bars, in which case it would be unpainted.
