When Ford installed the fuel tanks on the 32's did they use any material between the tank and the frame? Also, I see some mounting kits come with one spring w/bolt and others have 2 springs w/bolts, which is correct?
the left side is installed with two pins and springs the right has one. that same kit should have rubber pads in it to go between the tank and the frame
One spring only (on the right side) with a drilled shank hex bolt, castle nut, and cotter pin. The left side of the tank was attached with two hex head bolts, lock washers, and hex nuts. The pads are fabric-reinforced rubber and measure 1/8" x 7/8" x 8 1/2".
