Helllo, can anyone tell me the proper bolt diameter Henry used on the two upper firewall -to body bolts ; used also hold the hood hinge bracket to the body? Thanks ...Greg
The holes in the flange on the body are 5/16" and the holes that hold the bracket to the f/w are 1/4". I've always used 1/4-20's in the 1/4 holes but Ford might have used 12-24's, I don't know for sure.
The originals were 5/16-18 x 1 1/8" round head slotted screws. The other two screws for the rear hood hinge bracket were #12-24 x 5/8" flat head, slotted.
