32 door check strap removal.

Here's one for the 32 experts. I'm removing the doors on my 32 sedan. I need to remove the check straps. I'm looking at it and it would appear that I need to bend up the two tabs, release the locking disc and then the other pieces should come off. Do I have that right? Or is there a trick I have missed?

If by release you mean rotate and remove the disc, then yes, you have it right.

I note that the rubber pad originally attached to the A pillar is long gone, which is not the least bit unusual.
