32 chassis on the HAMB

I hate to see stuff like this. A 32 chassis is offered for sale on the HAMB. A restored roadster has had the body removed for I guess a rod project. Correct engine and running gear. The hood, grill and fenders are missing.
Maybe a member here could buy it.
I have no connection to the sale.

If the owner kept the ownership certificate to place the ID number on a repo frame you would have a tough time getting a title.

That is a shame, and since he only wanted the body, and not the deuce frame and matching numbers, it must be headed off to be a high dollar street rod instead of an old ford hotrod.

Hate to see something like this :-(

What really "KILLS" me and really fuels a real dislike for this whole scenario is, and the claim of these hotrodder's and the whole "IT's "real" Henry Steel!!!" claim.....To which I say, "Its been cut, chopped, channeled, cowl vents and cowl light wholes filled and modified SO much, how the HELL can you tell on your POS AND at that point what HELL difference does it make???? They will buy a car like this for FAR more moneys than what could be had, with less work, from Brookville. Totally SUCKS!!! The "only" light to a situation like this one IS, hopefully this chassis goes to save another 32 project that might not have been saved do to the overall amount of work to resurrect it like this 32. The chassis came from a "Dearborn" winning 32 3 window that became a hotrod.

Seems odd to me that if it is going to be "hot rod", why not use such a nice chassis? If they are not, then it is being turned into a street rod, not a hot rod.

We also don't know the history. It's quite possible this was found in a garage that someone had it tucked away with the hope of "someday" finding a nice '32 body.

Maybe that someday never came and the project was never realized.
