This 1931 Ford Model A was found in a storage facility after the vendor's father passed away and was unknown to his family despite the fact that he was a collector of model A's and T's. It is a real gem that was a ground up restoration to back to original and was apparently stored once he bought it. The car has the normal 3 speed transmission, is super-straight and is a beautiful pre-war classic.

What is that sticking up behind the generator, straddling the pipe? I swear some of those pictures look like a model car, something about them doesn't look right, or is it just me?

I agree on the pics looking funny. That is a certain made of taking a picture to blur the background. It does make any car then seem as if it is fake.

The tube behind the generator appears to be an oil breather to re-direct blow by down and away from the engine....

Steve,

The pictures look fine to me. In fact better than many I have seen. For those of you that have cameras you can set manually you can shoot at a high shutter speed that requires a large aperature (lens opening) to get enough light. The larger the aperature the less the depth of field (the distance that is in focus). It puts the main subject, the car, in focus and blurs the background because it is not what the photographer is trying to show.

That funny tube you are refering to is a Fumeez (sp) and it is exactly that. A means of directing the fumes down and away from the passenger compartment. The top opens to allow oil to be added.

Was the Fumaze an original accessory? By the way I have a Duesenberg for sale if anyone's interested
