31 ccpu seat springs

Does the bottom seat spring on a 31 ccpu have a wood frame? I have one that does but am not sure if I need that on the one I am working on.

Does your cab have an indented firewall? The seat springs for those cabs differ from the earlier cabs and do not have a wooden frame.

I couldn't make heads or tails of the previous answers here, so I called Chris at Snyder's.

From the factory, the indented firewall pickups did not have a wooden base. And the seat riser IS different from the earlier (ie: flat firewall) versions.

That being said, they do make a spring set that does mount on a wood base for the indented firewall pickups, but it is only available thru LeBaron Bonney.

Now I still don't know what I have in my pickup, except that what I have is not correct. But I have a fist full of measurements so that I can find out when I get home to measure things.


(My apologies to Jerry in Shasta for the lengthy post. A simple 2 word answer just doesn't get it sometimes.)

Confirmed that I have the correct riser, just not the correct cushions.
