i did a quick search but didn't find an answer to my question( i'm no computer geek and may not have searched very well)....how is the door glass held in the lower channel? i used the glass setting tape installing the windshield, but no such thing for the door glass. some one had mentioned putting some type of silicone in the channel and pressing the glass into it. is anyone familar with this?

I used a glass setting tape on my door glass to window channel and both windows work well.

Right or wrong I used the windshield glass set rubber/cork tape for my door glasses in my Tudor! The track with the tape pinches the glass. I trimmed the tape after installing.

The cork/rubber setting tape is best. I sure don't like the rubber tape currently being sold for mounting the glass. It does not hold the glass and is not real durable. Some local glass shops still have the cork/ rubber tape.

thanks guys!! once in a blue moon things actually go my way. i was trying to put my windshield in the frame the other day and tore the setting tape (not enough lubrication) i was very upset and disgusted at having to reorder the set. tape. i was still able to salvage enough of the torn tape to do the door glasses without ordering more. sometimes things work out.
