30A hydraulic conversion

I bought this 30A w/16" wheels, & hydraulics... sat on stands over the winter & brakes don't work now... quite sure it's the master cylinder. I hope to find a master cylinder kit. These look to be '39-48 but are they pre-war (ie 2 adjustments on FOMOCO Lockheed types). Can someone look at the pics of the rear backing plates and tell what years (ie pre-war vs post war) I think I want a 1 1/16" master cylinder kit. but not sure.
thanks in advance

We really need a couple pictures of the master to help identify
Side view and the top minimum
Conversions have been done for 50 plus years and many different versions have been used

Get used to them not working.

Mechanicals are way better. You build em right and they last forever.

Our 39 kept losing wheel cylinders usually the right rear. Tried everything. The only thing that works is to drive the car year round and frequently. Every 2 years or so change the fluid.

For safety you should also see about switching to a dual master cylinder. I can tell you having the foot go to the floor on those brakes is a real bad feeling.

Or buy a set made of drums to backing plates and change to mechanicals and just adjust them every few year for the next 50 years.
