302 distributor cap interchange

Is there a distributor cap with the HEI style connections that will fit and work on a 302 points distributor? I've looked on line and don't see any that specifically say they will fit and work.

International Harvester 304 cid - about 1975-77? Try a Standard P/N AL-482 - often cheap on ebay.

You will have to grind a small rectangular notch to register it onto the Ford distributor body - not a big deal. Prestolite and Autolite are a close match.

Uses the Ford rotor OK I believe.........

When you say prestolite and Autolite are a close match, are you talking the same application (IH)?

Also, Is the 304 in a truck or farm equipment?

Scout II had the 304 and probably some other truck applications .........

The Prestolite distributor body (IH) - and the Ford/Autolite = same OD. Internal distance to the center contact (above the rotor) is about .100 shorter - but not a problem for the spring on top of the Ford rotor.
