'30 Roadster

So I have friend in the neighborhood with a 1930 Roadster and was looking it over at the car show yesterday. He had me drive it into his trailer, and it felt a lot smaller in the cab than my sport coupe.

Did they have to lengthen out the trunk and cut some space out of the cab to fit the ragtop? The doors seemed quite a bit shorter, but i wasn't sure.

I had the privledge to drive his 70 Ram Air 400 Firebird back to his house too. If I had been able to drive stick confidently, I would have taken his Mach 1 Stang out though. that thing sounded like the world was coming to an end.

All I have to say is LEARN TO DRIVE A STICK WITH CONFIDENCE!:D. And then ask to borrow the keys to the Mach 1.

Just out of curiousity, but how are you able to drive your Sport Coupe if you aren't able to drive a stick?

Whose to say his Model-A Sport Coupe is 'stock'? Maybe it has been "restored" with a V-8 and an automatic transmission??? :D

To answer the initial question regarding room, a lot of Roadster seat cushions and backrests have not had the covers properly installed on the springs causing them to be too "thick". This greatly affects the roominess.

My Sport Coupe is all original, and I can drive stick, but not CONFIDENTLY. cruising around neighborhoods at 25 and 30mph with 40 hp in front of you is a lot different than a 300 horsepower Mach 1. (That's stock too. He has this one pimped out somehow. Not exactly sure though. He definitely had it straight piped. I was behind it in the Bird the whole ride back and it sounded like death.

Once I do learn stick confidently, I think I'm going to take his '95 Viper out. (he has a collection that's a little bit of everything)
