I am replacing covers and trim on 1930 A boards. Not shure how corners shoud look,Does the outside trim butt the fender trim or is it pie cut and bent 90? Trim pices are longer than the boards. Close up picture would be great or any help thanks Pete.

I just installed a set of repops from Snyders on my 30 roadster....if it helps any, the trim was not pie cut at the corners....they seem to overlap each other, but I'm not sure of the correct way of installation.

The end mouldings were mitered on the top lip and overlapped the top of the inner and outer mouldings.

The original end pieces were attached with two aluminum rivits , two on each end. The inner piece was attached with screws that were like the horn bolts and nuts . The outer were folded under the running board.

I am replacing my original trim with a set I bough some years ago .It is not half as good as the original .The original inside trim is like the one Marco shows where the bolts ( 8) of them slide in from the end .How do you bolt the new set where there is no holes and don;t have a way of sliding the bolts in like the old set had .Also the original long inside piece is square at the ends and the end pieces are cut at a 45 degree .Can I still get the inside piece like my original ones ?

Bob Burdick has the original style made to the factory specs. He has a ad in the Model A Restored Magazine. They should pass fine point if wanted.

The model A News Magazine had a ad for the trim mentioned in the above ad. I am not sure about the Restorer Mag.

The running board trim that Bob Burdick makes is the best available today but you might want to check with fine point judges on what you are saying above as I have heard different.

In regards to proper running board trim....Bob Burdick makes the most perfect set of running board trim that is available today and anywhere... I own a "Henry 1930 Coupe" and Bob makes running board trim that meets "Fine Point" standards... Bobs number is 949-310-4088 , Bob does excellant work. Jp

Yes, Bob Burdick does them right for 1930. I used them on a 1930 coupe and they are no problem. Not like the set I got from Mac's that had no way of putting the inner moulding on no matter how creative you got.
